A local Florida hospital that serves the community of Broward County is growing and acquiring additional ambulatory specialties and inpatient facilities. They are an award-winning non-profit with over 14,000+ employees that were looking to implement Epic EHR.
Planet Technology initially reached out to the Miami hospital facility in 2020 and was able to provide staff augmentation for internal positions and projects by placing 12 permanent employees with the facility over 3 years. These employees provided a full-life cycle Epic implementation, integration, report writing and training for the following Epic modules:
The healthcare client contacted Planet Technology in 2023 as they needed a contractor to help with their Ancillary Service Provider (ASP) project. This ASP project helped the hospital when sending lab orders to insure they are being sent to the right patient’s insurance; overall, making the facility more efficient and better experience for the patient.
Planet Technology provided a contract placement that was able to test and build out the clients’ orders, map payors, make changes to procedure records, import and export data from Epic, patient lab logic, override logic, and perform order transmittals. The local Florida hospital has subsequently asked Planet Technology to help with other ambulatory Epic implementations since they will continue to grow and need additional resources.
