At Planet Technology, a Workday global staffing partner, we have seen an increase in the number of independent consultants coming to us as a Workday Staffing Partner in order to activate their certification and receive the latest training. The Workday market from a customer demand perspective is looking for actively certified resources that have the skill sets to help them optimize and enhance their existing Workday deployment. Many of these customers have been live on Workday for several years and are now looking to implement additional functionality that Workday continues to update over the last several years. We have noticed Workday Adaptive Planning, Prism Analytics, and Extend are of particular interest in the conversations we are having, along with rolling adoptions of additional domains within their respective suites.

A quick survey of our network revealed some insight into the newest areas that Workday customers want to learn about the most. 68% said Workday Adaptive Planning, followed by 18% interested in learning about Extend, 13% said Peakon, and lastly, 3% Scout.
98% of all Workday placements over the past year were remote, while 2% were in office.
92% of placements were contract, 2% were contract-to-hire, and 5% were direct hire.
A quick survey of our network revealed some insight into what candidates are saying are the top 4 reasons Workday Professionals are motivated to go independent. 43% said they feel overworked and prioritize work/life balance, 36% said seeking better compensation, 11% because they were unhappy with their company culture.
