The importance of having the right enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for your company couldn’t be clearer. While these systems are highly advanced, they need talented technology experts and project solutions to support their ever-changing needs, implementations, or upgrades. Today, we will focus on Workday hiring trends, Generative AI and the R2 release.
At Planet Technology, a Workday global staffing partner, we have seen an increase in the number of independent consultants coming to us as a Workday Staffing Partner in order to activate their certification and receive the latest training. The Workday market from a customer demand perspective is looking for actively certified resources that have the skill sets to conduct tenant assessments, helping them optimize and enhance their existing Workday deployment. Many of these customers have been live on Workday for several years and are now looking to implement additional functionality and technology that Workday has continued to update over the last several years. We have noticed Workday Adaptive Planning, Prism Analytics, Extend and AI are of particular interest in the conversations we are having, along with rolling adoptions of additional domains within their respective suites.
In a recent Press Release from PR Newswire, Workday has introduced several new generative AI capabilities aimed at enhancing productivity, talent growth and retention, business process streamlining, and decision-making. With a platform strategy that incorporates AI and ML at its core, Workday leverages over 625 billion transactions processed annually to fuel AI models, delivering accurate and trustworthy results. These innovations underscore Workday’s commitment to human-machine teaming, offering enterprise-grade, user-centric AI solutions.
Key benefits of Workday’s new generative AI capabilities include generating job descriptions in minutes, analyzing and correcting contracts for improved revenue recognition, creating personalized knowledge management articles, streamlining collections for quicker recapture of funds, facilitating faster app development through text-to-code features, and creating employee growth plans to foster talent retention.
Additionally, Workday is exploring conversational AI to further enhance user interaction with its platform. These AI features, designed to optimize human-machine collaboration, will start rolling out to customers within the next 6 to 12 months, joining Workday’s extensive suite of AI and ML features already in use.
Lastly, Workday has announced its intent to acquire HiredScore, aiming to enhance talent acquisition experiences globally by integrating HiredScore’s AI-powered talent orchestration solutions with Workday’s Talent Management and Skills Cloud. This partnership is set to offer comprehensive talent acquisition and internal mobility solutions, focusing on responsible AI and human-centered decision-making. Key benefits include streamlined recruiting challenges, improved talent lifecycle management, and enhanced experiences for recruiters and hiring managers. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of Workday’s fiscal year 2025.
98% of all Workday placements over the past year were remote, while 2% were in office.
95% of placements were contract, 2% were contract-to-hire, and 3% were direct hire.
A quick survey of our network revealed some insight into what candidates are saying are the top 4 reasons Workday Professionals are motivated to go independent. 43% said they feel overworked and prioritize work/life balance, 36% said seeking better compensation, 11% because they were unhappy with their company culture.
