We’re highlighting some of the amazing people who make up our Planet. Today, let’s get to know Brian Carey with our Planet Technology team.

How long have you been with Planet Technology?

I have been with The Planet Group/ Planet Technology for 7.5 years.

How have you grown in your career with Planet Technology?

I started out by managing a team that was in Boston and New York and now I oversee some of our East Coast and West Coast Sales teams along with our Cybersecurity division.

What originally got you interested in working here?

I originally wanted to work for Planet Technology because of the great reputation they have within the staffing industry.

What’s your favorite part of the workday?

My favorite part of the workday is being able to talk and build relationships with so many different people. From clients to candidates to internal teams.

What has been your career highlights at Planet Technology so far?

My career highlight at Planet Technology has been starting the Cybersecurity division. We started a niche division that is a nationwide group to help our clients with their cybersecurity needs.

What advice would you give to aspiring individuals looking to enter the Recruitment industry?

It is a lot of hard work out of the gates, but persistence and consistency will pay off in the end if you stick with it. It can be a very personally fulfilling career, but you have to be committed to building relationships, as it takes time. Joining Planet Technology offers great opportunities to learn and develop sales skills from peers and industry experts.

Why do you think the Planet Technology model makes our business so successful?

The Planet Technology model makes our business successful because we have niche focused groups that allows our team to be experts at what they do with specific technology focuses. For example, ERP systems, Security, Cybersecurity, Software Development, etc.

How supportive has Planet Technology been in allowing you to achieve your own personal goals?

Extremely. I think that if you are someone who is goal oriented and driven, they give you the platform to build yourself as large as you can. They give you the tools and support needed to grow in leadership, sales, operations, and back office.

Where do you think your career can progress with Planet Technology?

Being able to continue to build and grow my client relationships and internal teams, that’s on geographical location or skill sets.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?

It depends what mood I’m in! I am adventurous person so it could be somewhere I could ski, like in the Alps or maybe golfing in Ireland.

One thing my candidates / clients don’t know about me is…

I am a motorcycle enthusiast and have a Harley Davidson. My wife and I love to go on trips together!
