The country’s largest customer-owned health insurer had just gone live on Workday and was focused on stabilizing their system. At the same time, they acquired another company and immediately began a Workday implementation for it. They found themselves shorthanded in the first place, and now were needing to manage a second implementation project. The client asked their Big 4 Implementation Partner and Workday itself for suggestions on where to find the Workday talent they needed, and they both recommended Planet Technology.
The health insurer wanted their current team to focus on the implementation project, so they mostly leaned on Planet Technology for additional Workday resources to focus on supporting their current system. Although, a few resources have been leveraged for implementation projects as well. These resources were a mix of 4 actively certified Workday consultants and 5 non-certified working in the areas of Core HCM, Security, Comp, Recruiting & Onboarding, Reporting & Integrations, Learning Management, and Position Management
Planet Technology’s contractors also helped on a Phase X advance comp implementation, where they gathered requirements, and helped to configure the system while focusing on the customer side of the work.
Planet Technology has provided 9 different contract resources in total for the health insurer. We’ve established a strong team that is helping the client with both support for their current Workday system, and for Workday implementation projects as well.
Planet Technology continues to have a good state of engagement with the client. Our contract resources will stay at the company to help through hypercare after the Workday implementation go-live. Once the implementation is stabilized, our consultants will be aligned to new projects in areas such as Talent & Performance and Skills Cloud.
